ChatGPT

ChatGPT reaches custom MCP servers through developer mode.

  1. Open Settings → Connectors → Advanced and switch Developer mode on.
  2. Back under Connectors, create a connector with the URL https://api.pelyr.com/mcp.
  3. ChatGPT opens a Pelyr page in a popup and asks whether chatgpt.com may use your account. Sign in if needed, then choose Allow.

No client secret is involved; ChatGPT identifies itself with a metadata document on its own domain.

Availability can depend on your account and, inside a workspace, on the workspace policy. If developer mode is not offered to you, the connector cannot be added — that is a setting on the OpenAI side, not on ours.

After approving, you have one key named chatgpt.com in your key list. Revoke it there to cut the connector; the next request from ChatGPT then fails and it offers to sign in again.

Pelyr does not publish the search and fetch tools that ChatGPT's deep-research mode looks for. The ten Pelyr tools answer questions about vessels; a research mode that expects a searchable document corpus would find none here.
